PEACE
<::: :::>

We cannot have total peace.*

Sorry, but you utopians* out there will have to wait a little longer!

However, just because peace on this earth is not likely in our lifetime or even in the next couple of hundred years, this is no reason not to strive toward it.

If but the majority would learn and believe in the value of peace, this would be enough for BALANCE in the world.

As it currently stands too many are still like frightened animals who unquestioningly cling to 'old' belief systems like patriotism*, discrimination, guilt, a vengeful God*, greed, value of the material, and so forth...

Until all realise that we have no right to change others for our own ends or beliefs we will always be locked in conflict.

Peace may be too abstract a concept for some to deal with.
Try "tolerance"*.

I believe a certain amount of forgiveness needs to be practiced too. In this day and age we still have people who harbor self-inflicted hatred for the long past deeds of the children and grandchildren of people who they don't even know!

The past needs to be forgiven - We need to move on.
